a career in architecture
When I was younger, my dream was to be a paleontologist or zoologist, because I was a big fan of dinosaurs and extinct animals and animals of our time, to the point that I could spend hours and hours watching and reading things about dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, because I was fascinated by these creatures. As I grew older, my goals changed and so did my tastes. In high school, I took a science elective and lab and environmental issues began to catch my attention and my childhood dreams changed.
At the time of applying to university careers, I applied to 5 careers, four of my options pointed to engineering, the one I approached was biotechnological engineering, it caught my attention and I learned a lot about the subject, then I thought about forestry engineering and the fourth one was environmental engineering, and at the time of enrolling them, at the last moment to make the decision, I applied for architecture, and I left it third on the list, because I wondered if I was going to base my whole life on something scientific that might not fulfill me, so I did it and I was glad to have made the decision, because inside me, my intuition told me that it was what could make me feel complete. When I made the decision to apply to architecture I did not take into account my skills, I was decent at drawing and doing handicrafts I was doing relatively well, and neither in money, although I was always able to stand firm until I finally managed to get the "free", what I was absolutely sure was that I had to study at the University of Chile.
Now, I am a student of architecture very committed to the career, because I feel that it was what I always looked for when I started high school, for me, the career has a perfect balance of everything I can do, obviously not everything is rosy, and I have had a turbulent experience around classes and learning, but what I do rescue is that if I have learned well and the people I have met and with whom I have shared being in the same career are worth gold.
